"Seriously, what has gotten into your head?!" Reinhart said while his arms were crossed. "Why did you punch him?" he added and looked at Hans, who was talking to the enraged vampire. "That fvcking vampire was getting on my nerves. I was polite, but he kept berating me, insulting my origin!" Keith defended himself. "But babe, you should never have punched him," Reinhart said and held his hand. Keith heaved a sigh and glanced at Hans, who was apologizing to the vampire. "I get it. I should have controlled my temper," Keith said and smiled at Reinhart. "Sorry for making you worry, Rein," he added and squeezed his hand. Keith made his way to where the table was and heard the vampire angrily scolding Hans. Keith bowed his head. "I apologize for punching you, Sir," he said calmly. The vampire looked at him and hissed. "You!" "Enough, Eian." Keith slightly raised his head and saw the man he was staring at earlier, standing, hands in his pockets. "Darryl, this mutt humiliated me!" Eian said and pointed his finger at Keith. Hans shielded Keith and bowed his head. "I apologize, but Horizon also doesn't tolerate customers who are rude to our staff," Hans said. "I hope you can forgive us, gentlemen. The drinks were on the house," he added, and pulled Keith away. "Hans, I'm sorry I messed up," Keith said. He was ashamed that he acted that way. Hans helped him when he was just new to the City, but returning the favor by arguing with the customer, he felt embarrassed. "It's alright, Keith. I know you wouldn't throw a punch first if it were just a simple thing. He was the one who started it, right?" Hans asked when they arrived at the Staff room. "He was. They wanted a vampire to serve them, but Atasha and Kristoff were occupied, so I took the orders, but he kept calling me 'mutt,' and that got me," Keith explained like a child and sighed. Hans let out a chuckle and tapped his shoulder. "It's a good thing you punched him, but Keith, be careful. Those were really powerful vampires," Hans said, the worry was evident on his face. "I don't want you guys to get in trouble," he added. "I got it, Hans. I'm really sorry. I won't do it again," Keith said as he swore with his right hand. Hans smiled at him. "Now go and have a fifteen-minute break. I'll take over your spot," Hans said, and left the room. Keith sat on the couch and messed his hair. He really can't get along with vampires. Keith took his cigarette out and went out of the room. He walked to where the smoking area was and lit his cigarette. Keith looked at the sky full of twinkling stars and put his hands in his pockets. Suddenly, he heard footsteps coming in, and he scooted near the plant. Keith almost dropped his cigarette when he saw the man named Darryl right in front of him. "God damn it," he whispered, feeling his wolf pacing back and forth inside of him attentively. "Did he come for me because I punched his friend?" "If I were you, I would be cautious," Darryl muttered. "Why would I be?" Keith bravely said as he put his cigarette on the ashtray without finishing it. "He's the one who started it," he added. Yes, Eian was the one who started the argument, but the Blackwaters wouldn't let it pass quickly. They were notorious in the city and one of the most powerful clans. "Are you brave or plain i***t, mutt?" Darryl said, mocking Keith. Keith scoffed. "Want me to fvcking punch you too, bloodsucker?" Keith said as he stood on his ground. Darryl darkly chuckled, and with his vampiric speed, he grabbed Keith's hands and pinned him on the wall. "Fvck--" "Try it. Try punching me," Darryl muttered, urging Keith. Keith glared at him. He knows in himself that he is strong, but Darryl is different from him. He was overpowering him. Keith tried to escape from Darryl, but he tightened his hold even more. Keith could feel his hot breath and couldn't help but gulp. Now that he had come to the realization that they were close to each other's faces, he panicked. "Fvck, let me fvcking go," Keith snapped. "Feisty," Darryl said. He was taller than Keith, so he had to bow his head a little to look him in the eyes. "What do you want? I already apologized to your friend!" Keith said. "What do I want? Nothing," Darryl said. "I just want to see the mutt's reaction to being cornered by a 'bloodsucker' as he worded it," he added. "Fvck you," Keith angrily roared. "Sorry, ain't fvcking a mutt," Darryl replied with a smug smile. "Darryl, are you here? Let's go. The boys are waiting," a man said. Darryl looked at Keith and let him go. Keith immediately rubbed his wrists and saw the mark Darryl left. "Here," Darryl said. "See you around, mutt," he added and left. Keith uttered strings of curses and slowly sat on the ground. "Let's not fvcking see each other, bloodsucker," he whispered as he calmed his heart. Keith closed his eyes briefly and breathed deeply. When he felt calm, he stood up and went back inside. His eyes instantly searched for the Blackwaters,' but they were nowhere to be found. "They left," Reinhard said while holding a tray. "I wasn't asking," Keith said. "Yep, but you were intently looking at their table," Reinhart said. "Don't worry. Hans settled it with his connections," he added. "I owe him one," Keith replied and smiled. "Want me to carry that for you?" he added, and looked at the tray. "Nope, I can do that. Go back to the bar counter. That lady seemed to be waiting for you," Reinhart said and chuckled at Keith's reaction. Keith walked back to his station for tonight and took the wines away from Jones. "Quite a show back there," the lady said while playing with her glasses. Keith let out a laugh and mixed the drinks. "I'm sorry, ma'am, you had to witness that act," Keith said and smiled. "I enjoyed it," the lady replied seductively. "So, are you free tonight?" she added. Keith gulped. He felt his hair rising when the lady dropped the bomb. "Uh… I'm sorry, ma'am. I am not into pretty women," Keith replied and awkwardly smiled. "You mean, you are---" The lady didn't finish her sentence when she saw Keith nod his head. She laughed and drank the newly mixed drink Keith gave. "Oh gosh! I'm so sorry. That was embarrassing," the lady said. "By the way, I'm Leanne," she added, and raised her hand in front of him for a handshake. "Keith, ma'am. At your service," Keith said as he took her hand. "I'm really sorry," Leanne said. "By the way, the drinks were delicious. Sadly, I have to go now," she added and pouted her lips. "It's still early, ma'am," Keith said, and looked at the clock. "Nah, I'm good now. I'm just staying because I thought I could bring you home with me," Leanne replied and laughed out loud. "Here," she added, and gave her payment to Keith. When he counted, the money was more than her total bill. "Ma'am," "It's your tip. Thank you for the drinks and entertainment. I will come back again," Leanne said and stood up. "Bye, Keith," she added and walked away. She briefly glanced at the bar counter and winked at Keith, which made him shake his head. "What a night," he whispered, and went back to work.
