Gabriella stepped out of the elevator into the large marble-tiled foyer that was the entrance to David’s apartment. She strode through it, the glass door in front of her sliding open as she entered his living room. The place was furnished in browns and blues, but Gabriella could see touches of red interspersed in the space that hadn’t been there before. Probably from Jasmine. Nice. The lady in question rushed forward and pulled her into a hug. “Hey, you,” she said, giving Gabriella a once-over with her sparkling green eyes. Gabriella leaned into the hug. Trust Jasmine to know she needed one. David was extremely lucky to have met such a wonderful person like Jasmine, though they’d butted heads from the beginning when their parents had pushed them together into an arranged marriage date.
