Deron’s POV
After the odd discussion with his father, Deron immediately went back to his home but the nearer he got towards the house, the faster his heartbeat got.
He could smell a scent, a foreign scent which didn’t belong to the maid assigned to him but still, it smelt familiar and powerful.
“What will anyone come here for?” Deron muttered, before his eyes suddenly widened.
Deron immediately dashed through his house in a blur and soon, he stopped a few meters from distance from the dungeon and the cause of his pause was a Lycan’s back turned towards him.
Only werewolves of the Alpha Bloodline were able to turn into the Lycan form, Betas and Gammas also possessed the Alpha bloodline though less purer so, some could also turn into the Lycan form, but the current Beta and Gamma could not. Hence, the Lycan could only be his father or half-brother.
He had however, left his father back at the throne room so there was no way this could be him and again, he knew his father’s scent so well and this Lycan’s scent was different.
Hence, it could only be his half-brother.
Deron had always been withdrawn from everyone and the Luna had also made sure to keep her son away from him, so he had not been able to identify his half-brother at first sight but now, he was certain it was him.
“How dare you!” he roared in anger before transforming as he watched the Lycan turned towards him.
“Deron, no, it is how dare you bring a human into the werewolf territory and hide her, this is treason! And I, Morgan, the future Alpha of the whole werewolf kingdom will not allow that to happen.” He heard his half-brother declared, before lunging towards him
“You seek death!” Deron replied, before both collide in a great battle.
Alexa’s POV
“Monsters!” That was the only thing that she could think of.
The two monsters in front of her were too powerful, too ruthless, too cruel, their dark claws dug into each other body, ripping off chunks from each other’s body. With great strength, one would lift the other slamming them into the ground and sending great tremors through the earth.
She didn’t even know who was who, they were both black furred, but one fur seems even darker than the other, one of them had glowing golden eyes while the other had a pair of dark holes for eyes.
Their movement were too fast, it was all a blur and she could only stay glued to the wall with her heart beating wildly. All around her had turned to ruin, the dungeon bar had been violently blasted off but even in the midst of all this chaos, no side spill managed to touch her.
In fact, she had discovered one of the Lycan was in fact keeping the other wolf away from her, and she had a good idea who it was, Deron was protecting her.
Instead of being happy at this however, Alexa only got angry. Why would he protect her from another beast when he was also a beast? Why would he protect her when he had left her alone in a cold dark dungeon?
If living in this dungeon, like a criminal and a slave was all that awaited her for the rest of her life then why not die here and forget everything, she was a princess, not a coward.
Overwhelmed with despair but still defiant, Alexa slowly walked forwards into the chaotic battle before seeing one of the werewolves being thrown to the side and the whole place quaked violently.
The quake was so strong that Alexa lost her footing, staggering forwards and impacting a fury body, she stiffened.
Morgan’s POV
On seeing his brother appeared, Morgan felt quite excited at the imminent battle as he advanced towards Deron. Finally, he was going to show his arrogant brother that he was strongest werewolf in existence.
And true to his thought, he had immediately overwhelmed his brother just as the battle started.
He repeatedly pummeled Deron who could only stayed on defense but Morgan also discovered Deron, even while being pummeled was actively directing the battle away from the human princess. He however, did not mind this, after dealing with Deron, he would go ahead to kill the princess but for now, he immersed himself in the glee of defeating his brother.
Suddenly however, Morgan felt came to the realization that he was getting weaker, his hits carried less power and his brother effectively knocked away his attacks, soon, the wounds on his body even refused to heal and Morgan’s eyes widened.
Now he could feel it, the energy in his body was being sapped away, simply by being so close to his brother. Only now did he understand why his mother said Deron was a Demon who killed everyone near to him, after all, only a demon could take away the life force of another creature. Without doubt, he would eventually die if things went one like this.
Morgan quickly tried to retreat, but his brother had grabbed him on the head with a powerful grip and he was held firm in place, before a terrifying kick slammed into his chest and he went crashing back into the distance.
When he managed to stand back however, he could see his brother looking down at the human princess and he seems to be in some daze, grasping the opportunity, Morgan immediately fled from the place.
Deron’s POV
Immediately after kicking Morgan, Deron was prepared to pounce forward and finish off his half-brother, but his mate seems to have other plans. She had suddenly appeared out of nowhere, colliding into him and he stiffened in place, thoroughly confused.
Suddenly, he heard the sound of wall been blasted through down and his half-brother escaped through the place.
“What are you doing human? This is a battle, are you trying to get yourself killed?” he eventually said, waken from his daze.
Slowly, the girl lifted her face looking straight into his dark eyes. To Deron’s surprise, the dread in those eyes had disappeared, they were defiant, unbending.
“So what if I am trying to get myself killed, do you care?” the girl asked and Deron raise his brows, her voice wasn’t shaky in the bit.
