Fenrir suddenly raised his head and let out a loud howl that rattled the windows of all the buildings on the street and set off a few car alarms. At his command, the shifters darted away on swift paws and wings, carrying their dead and injured with them. "Leaving so soon?" I called out. Fenrir leaped to the top of another building and snarled at me. "We'll meet again—once Pestilence walks the Earth."
