Judy was dressed in a distressed jean and a raspberry colored top with the words 'I love your smile' sketched across the front. She was bending over to tie the lace of her white sneakers in a hurry. A jean jacket hung from one arm.
"What's going on? Are you going out?" Chloe inquired, lowering her bag onto the quilt chair before slumping into it, her stomach heavy from the food she had earlier on.
"Yeah, as you can see, I am," Judy replied quickly. "I'm off to a very important event. And someone has to stay behind to look after Danny".
Chloe was not convinced. "What about your mum and dad? Where exactly are you going?"
"You don’t know?" Judy straightened and flipped her curls over one shoulder. Chloe immediately noticed the fresh salon scent wafting from her.
"You went to the salon?"
