As much as his apology makes sense, it still hurts that he did not want to go further than that. Why would he not be ready for it? He has been wanting me for years so why would he hesitate now? What is bothering him so much? Is it some kind of PTSD that he has from the military?
My questions must have been written all over my face because Caleb takes a deep breath to hopefully, start giving me more of an explanation.
