Military talk having ended, Sadie began to ask Finlay questions about his past and in general put in the effort to try to get to know him while Caleb and I tried to pretend to be in our own world. Not that that was particularly difficult, of course, but we still tried to make sure that they knew that we were not paying attention to them. While not paying attention to them, I managed to learn quite a bit about his past and his family. He comes from a family far different from all of ours as he has lots of siblings and two parents that would go to the ends of the earth for them.
