“Good.” Alric responded coldly. “Get ready to travel back to the North.. we leave in a few hours.” He ordered and left the room.
I could feel my legs again and I managed to get down from the bed and walk up to the window. Outside, I saw Alric speaking with some locals and carriages were being arranged for the trip.
This wasn’t how I intended to leave this place, but I also couldn’t see myself staying here any longer.
“I wonder how Laura’s health is right now… I need to go see her” I muttered to nobody in particular as I dragged myself into the bathroom alone for a wash.
