Cedric let out a drowning laughter, his eyes flickering under the glowing lights above our heads. Something about his voice made my skin crawl and I knew I needed to get away from him immediately.
“I know Alric would really want to get rid of me, but I’m sure we both know he can’t do that…” he gloated, running his fingers through his hair.
