Melissa (Gabriella’s Pov)
I woke up to the sound of knocking. Claire was no longer sitting where she was before I fell asleep.
“I’m coming!” I screamed as I dragged myself from the bed. My body still felt heavy after the tranq, but I felt lighter after the night’s rest.
“I didn’t think you would sleep till that moment.”
A smile crossed my face when I heard his voice, with the smell of coffee wafting through the door.
“Shouldn’t you be with some prisoners by this time?” I asked as I opened the door. As usual, he stood with his blue eyes glinting in the morning, holding two cups of coffee in his hands.
“Prisoners? I never knew I had prisoners,” he said as he placed the coffee in my hands. “Want to go for a walk or you would prefer to be in your room?”
