“Dad, Mom. I found a stranger in our territory yesterday, and you would not believe what I did.”
Those were the words I heard as I followed the rabbit hole or stairs rather, ending at the top of the room where I saw him on his knees. He didn’t seem to notice that I was standing at that spot.
“Especially you, father. I know you believe in eradicating anyone you found in our territory who didn’t enter without our permission, but this is my time now. Done with the era of bloodshed; I think I am done with that now, considering the amount of blood these hands have spilled, sending many to their deaths because I did not trust them.”
