Mackenzie is so going to be furious with them for leaving the main school building and going to a place where they've been warned not to go. Through the hole, they keep crawling until they see a light at the end of the hole. With that, they increased their speed and found themselves in a hidden passageway, they walk down and comes out beside their dormitories. They are lucky that they could escape this time. "I think we’ve lost her,” Mael pants, leaning against the cold wall and wiping his forehead. Harry is bent double, breathing hard and spluttering.“I — told — you,” Harry gasps, clutching his chest, “I — told — you.”We’ve got to get back to our rooms,” says Mael, “quickly as possible.” we are not supposed to be taking such risks,” Harry says to Mael. “You realize that, don’t you? Doing this would either get us killed or better still expelled. Mackenzie would have made an example of us. We just got lucky this time. There might be no next time." Mael sees the point in what Harry is saying. He is right. Their mother would have died of a heart attack from this prank they just pulled. “Let’s go.”It isn’t going to be that simple. They haven’t gone more than a few paces when a doorknob rattled and something came shooting out of a classroom in front of them. It is Eugene. Someone Mael had thought about how he would have loved to have some form of help to get them out of the mess they were in and Eugene heard his thought. "What are you doing here?" Mael asks. "You called me." "I didn't!" "You did. With your thought." "Great! Now I've to look for a way to unhook my thought with that of yours." "It is not my doing." "Oh, quite it both of you. How do we get back to our dormitories?" Melody asks Eugene. "The only way back to your dormitory is through Hunters. There is no other way." "I am so getting expelled today." Harry cries out. "I'll distract Hunters while you guys walk through, back to your dormitories," Eugene reassures. "That sounds fair," Melody carefully walks close enough to where Mael stood. "Hi, Hunters," Eugene knocks twice on the door that leads back to the dormitories. "What do you want, Eugene?" Hunters yawns. "Nothing. I was just wondering if you could show me the way back to the dormitories. It is a bit confusing and I can't figure out which way to take it. "Nice try! You are a messenger and one thing that never hets difficult for you is getting the direction of places in your head. What are you up to?" Slowly, Hunters move his eyes away from where Eugene stod and catches sight of Mael, Melody and Harry. He squeals with delight. "Not now, Hunters — please — you’ll get us in trouble.”Get you into trouble? You are already in trouble. Out of bed after lights out, wandering around restricted areas and trying to get a messenger to trick me into covering up your offences. Let's see, hmmm, maybe you should just pack your bags because you will be out of here in no time." Says Hunters in a very calm voice. Too calm. "Not if you let it slide this one time. We promise not to ever break any rules," Harry pleads "Let it slide? Here in Rayvin Academy, sins are punished and righteousness, rewarded. It is for your good." "Just get out of the way." With a swift wave, Melody uses her I have got the power to freeze the door, causing it to crack open. "You should've done that." Hunters voice booms from the nearest door, " STUDENTS OUT OF BED!" Hunters alert the entire school, "STUDENTS OUT OF BED DOWN THE RECITATION GROUND!” The three of them breaks into a run, passing through the cracked door but comes out to different places. Melody finds herself in the library, Harry is lucky to have landed in his dorm room but Mael is in the woods. Thick wood with just fireflies, crickets chirping and frog croaking. Crying out in shock, Mael lurches up, tripping on his own feet and tumbling over the unearthed roots of a tree. Suddenly, he’s propelled down a leaf-covered slope, rolling head over heels right into -- A strong muscle Pushing himself up from the terrible fall, a breathless Mael looks up at the body he had run into trying to get up from the ground which he just fell. He’s about to stand when -- glowing eyes and gnashing teeth stops him from moving. Stops him from breathing. Something crouches in the shadows right near him a figure of a man. A very large man. Mael slowly begins to turn around when--the shapes get closer toward him. For the briefest instant, there’s a flash of razor-sharp teeth again. The same type that had come of .ael when he got possessed back at the recitation ground. Mael twists forward, crying out. Then, still trying to hold them back the scream that is threatening to escape his throat, the figure disappears. He looks around and couldn't see a trace of what had just been before him. He seizes that opportunity to scramble back to his feet and break into a fast run. Whipping through branches tearing at his skin and clothes, he races blindly through the woods until he reaches what looks like a door. " Hunters, if this is one of your punishments, you've gone too far! Let me in. Let me in." He bangs tirelessly on the door. Barely coordinating his effort, Mael plunges behind a tree close to the door that refuses to open. Shirt catching a twig and tearing across the twig. The figure appears once more and is rapidly gloating towards Mael. Panting, "I am not afraid of you! I am not afraid of you! I am not afraid of you!" "You should be, boy," the figure stretches its hands to catch Mael but an overly bright light shines from Mael's hand down to his legs. His eyes start glowing and his fangs are visible. With speed from nowhere, Mael makes for the shadow and without a pause of seconds, he is biting on the neck of the shadow. It transforms into a man. Mael feeds heavily on the man's blood, gripping tightly on his shoulders until his knuckles turn white. He moans into the sumptuous taste of the blood. His first time feeding. "An ORIGINAL." the man says, his voice barely a whisper.
