Someone groans. And I blink my eyes trying to wake up. What time is it ? How long have I slept ? And what woke me up ?
"Hey guys wake up”. Tisha complains from over by the door.
"No, we do not have to. We had a long day yesterday”. Kaisa mutters dully beside me.
We hear footsteps getting near to the bed. “Please I am worried for Benjamin”.
“For Benjamin”. Kaisa instantly sits up, now fully alert. “Why ?”
“I got too tired to continue … he tugged me in and went back to his work”. She says. “But when I woke he was gone, he left a note saying he went to the plateau”.
Kaisa shakes her head. “The plateau … Why ?”
“Sorry to sound dumb, what is the plateau ?” I sit up too.
Tisha looks at me like I might be stupid. “A plateau is like a flat area on a mountain …”.
