“Dacian wake up, please”. I am about to lose it completely and I have already pulled out my phone, ready to call my sister.
Suddenly Dacian’s eyes flutter violently and he gasps. “Selene …”.
“Dacian, can you hear me ?” I grab his hand, relief washing over me, and Solstraale lets out a low howl.
His eyes spring open, staring wildly around and his voice has a desperate edge. “Kaisa … Kaisa”.
“I am right here”. I squeeze his hand as he sits up slowly. “And I am so happy to see you”.
He wraps his arms around me and draws me into his wide chest, mumbling into my hair. “I am happy to be back”.
I just sit there for a bit, enjoying his embrace and collecting myself and my emotions. I don't even want to think about the possibility of him not coming back from wherever he was.
