I walked down the stairs as I stifled a yawn, its a brand new day I looked down at my self wearing one of my dad’s old t shirt which covered just to the length of my thigh it seems like ages since I last went to school even though it was just last week . I walk to the dining area and find my dad setting up the table “morning dad “ I said o breathed in the smell of bacon and fried eggs.... over the years my dad had gotten better I cooking, I smiled as I remembered the first two years after mom had died of cancer, cooking was a disaster but my dad put in his best to make sure the family was together and now it’s been ten years and he’s the best cook in the world.

I rushed to my seat on the table as my dad sets a plate in front of me and sets a kiss on my cheek “morning sweetheart “ he said as he walks back to the kitchen and comes back with a plate of food “why didn’t you wake me up to come help you “ I ask as I munch on the bacon ( dad always makes the best bacon ) “ that’s because you were snoring so much he was afraid that you might have turned into a monster” an annoying little voice said , it was my sister Ashley she’s thirteen years old she was three when our mom died so she could barely remember anything about her I mean I didn’t remember much about her “ stop teasing your sister Ash be nice “ my dad says “ but it’s the truth , she snores so much that I didn’t sleep all night .. why do you think I’m all ready for school “ she say in annoyance and then a it hit me

I HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL !!!!!

I quickly drop my plate in the sink and rush upstairs to get ready “now she remembers school”

I hear Ashley’s faintly say . I quickly strip and rush to the bath room , take a quick cold shower and rush to my closet to choose jeans , a black shirt and my sneakers as my outfit for the day i quickly run down the stairs “am ready “ I yelled breathlessly.”are you really ready “ I hear my brother ask from the top of the stairs .. I turn to him ..... Jayden is seventeen years old , he’s why you would call a “ hunky senior” he’s every girl’s dream at school ( what a drag?) he has intense blue eyes and dimples to compliment his handsome face “of course I’m ready can’t you see that I’m dressed up “ I said in annoying “ ok suit yourself you’re the one with crazy bed hair , I’ll be waiting in the car “ he says heading outside ... oh my hair I totally forgot I rushed to my bedroom and look at my reflection in the mirror ,Jayden was right I do look like a crazy person I quickly comb my hair down I had brown hair blue eyes and dimples like Jayden and Ashley my dad said blue eyes and brown hair is a family trait from my mom but the dimples is from his family

I rushed to the car where Ashley and Jayden we’re waiting and got in ...Jayden drives off .

I’m Rylee Baker , I’m fifteen years old my mum died when I was five,Jayden was seven and Ashley was three , out of all of us Jayden had more memories of her ... I hardly remember anything and I don’t think Ashley has any memories of her our dad has never neglected us or made us feel motherless he was the best dad ever .
