I watch as Dimitri disappears into the castle, heading back to his fiancé. I begin having this sinking feeling, as if I am drowning. James' voice becomes foggy, as if my ears are full of water. My chest gets tight and my stomach starts to turn. My body feels hot and cold at the same time.
What is wrong with me?
I feel as though I am about to pass out. I lose my footing and fall into James' arms. "Serena! Are you alright? What is the matter with you?" James' voice is clear to me now. My eyes refocus and he is holding me against his chest. I push him away and get my bearings.
