The Orphaned Alaph

Chapter 2

  {Bella's P.O.V.}

    I was awaken by a hard knock at my door. 

    "Come in."  I groaned, I was stiff from sleeping on the window sill all night. Jake walked in. 

    "Wake up sleep head. We are going to miss breakfast if you do not hurry up! "  

    "I'm coming."  I stood up and stretched. It felt so good to finally relieve my aching back from the pain that I made it suffer thru all night . I walked to my closet and changed into a pair of yoga pants and long sleeve light blue shirt, I loved this shirt because it makes my already blue eyes bluer then the ocean. I put on a black hoodie and went to brush my hair and teeth. I walked out of my room to find Jake posted at the wall with a frown on his face.

    "About time." he said. I just rolled my eyes. We went down to the dinning hall. Auntie May was there and placed a small kiss on Jake's and myself's heads. Motioning for us to get our plates and sit down and eat. Jake was about to reach for the spoon to get some fruit on his plate and I pushed him a little harder then I meant to and he stumbled over. I laughed in delight as I picked up the spoon and placed my fruit into my bowl. I stuck my tongue out at him. He scolded me with his eyes and I just rolled mine. Taking a spoonful of fruit and plopping it on his plate. His face lit up. We quickly ate our breakfast and got ready to leave. 

    "Bella I will go get the car and bring it around fount." Jake said, and I nodded. I ran upstairs and grabbed my wallet shoving that and my phone in my back pocket. I ran back down the stairs and walked down to the front door. When I opened it i seen that Jake had grabbed the SUV. Smart decision on his end. He already knew that between his mom calling every five minutes asking him to get stuff for the party and me going crazy to get more comfy clothing and more work clothing he already knew we would need the room. I hopped in the passenger seat and we were on our way. It takes about an hour to get to the mall so I quickly put on music and started jamming out. Jake soon chimed in when Barbie Girl came on, which put me in a rag of laughter, making my sides hurt. He looked over at me and smiled. 

    "You know I haven't seen you smile that big in a really long time, you need to do it more often."  Jake said. 

    I looked at him confused "I always smile.

    "Not like that you don't. Look you know me and you know that I am going to tell you like it is, and the truth is you changed all those years ago. I know and understand why. I just want you to be happy in life and all I have ever wanted for you is to be happy."

    "I know and I am sorry that you have had to see me at my lowest of lows, but thank you for always having my back no matter what it was for. I truly from the bottom of my heart am so grateful  to you and your family for always loving me like I was family and apart of yours" I said giving him a huge real smile. "I will try harder to make sure that I communicate better with you when I am feeling down or need a helping hand. "

    With that he smiled and said "Bella even before your parents died . My parents always looked at you like you were their little girl. You have always been family and regardless of what happens in the coming years we will always be here for you . Always."  I could feel the warm streams running down my face. I realized then that I was loved and looked after more then I could ever dream of. Jake was in a moment of shock. He hasn't seen me cry in years. Mostly by my own doing because I do not want anyone to think that I am weak. I am going to be the Alpha soon and I need my whole pack to know that they have a strong leader that will not let herself be caught up in her own emotions. He asked me if i was alright. I nodded my head.  Giving him a smile. Jake was my only friend, mostly because the other girls my age didn't think I was "girly" enough or they were scared of me. No other girls in the pack play video games or do the "boyish" things that I do. 

    I looked out the window as we pulled up to the mall. Jake finds a parking spot , and parks the car. 

    "Ready "  he asked and I nodded. Making sure I grabbed my phone before opening the door. Jake was already outside of the door waiting on me. I hopped out and I was met with a huge bear hug by him. I asked him what this was for and he just said because I feel like you needed it. He pulled away and just looked at me. He smiled. 

"Well lets get going before my mom calls me and asks me to go to a thousand different stores."  we both laughed hard. We walked up to the mall and we went to get his tux first. 

{Jake's P.O.V.}

    "Finally" I sighed in my head. We made it to the tux shop before mom could call me. I checked my phone again just in case I missed a call or text from her, and much to my surprise I had not. I went one way and Bella went the other. I found an all black tux that I actually liked, and a sweet bow tie. I looked around for Bella but she was no where to be found. I shrugged my shoulders and kept looking. Next thing I knew Bella was behind me with a well dressed man.

    "Hello sir. My name is Chris, I will be helping you with anything that you may need today. Your friend here has picked out a couple things for you to try. Is there anything that you seen that you would like to try as well."  he asked. 

    I nodded my head and told him that I liked the dark black suit and the cool bow tie. he went on his way and grabbed the items I asked for and showed me to the dressing room. I walked in and busted out laughing.

 "Bella I am not trying this on!"  I said with a chuckle. 

    "You will to."  Bella said. 

    I groaned, but did it anyway. She is my best friend and what is the worse that can happen. I looked at myself in the mirror. I looked like I had just stepped out of a bad 70's movie. I laughed hard at myself. I could here Bella shuffling around outside of room. So I walked out. Bella busted out laughing. Due to her laughing so hard she feel off of her seat and landed on the floor still laughing. I looked at her, she was looking back at me as well and I seen a bright flash. Did she just take a picture of me in this light blue suit! 

    " Delete that now!" I said trying to reach for her phone. 

    "NO WAY!" she said back. "This one is going in a frame! Best day ever! Hey before you take it off do a couple more poses. Come on don't be shy!"  Man I know one day she will show these to my mate and my kids and my grand kid's. O'well, I struck seven or eight more poses and then went back into the dressing room and changed into the tux I knew I wan't . I walked out. Bella's jaw was on the floor. 

    "Dang someone looks super dapper. I like it, even that crazy bow tie."  Bella said. At that moment Chris walked over and said the same thing. Taking down some measurements. We paid for everything and he said that it would be done in the next couple of days and he would send it straight to my house. I was over joyed that i wouldn't have to make the hour drive to come and get it. At that moment my mom called and asked if we could stop and pick-up an online order she had placed. Of course I agreed , no one and I mean no one says no to my mom. We stopped there before we went to get Bella's dress. 

    Bella and I walked to the other side of the mall and stopped at few store on the way so she could get some new work clothing and other girly things. We were walking around a corner and something caught Bella's eye at the Jewelry store. She told me to go ahead and get some drinks because she was sure that the dress store would take forever because she sucks at making decisions on clothing that she hates to wear. I agree and continue on. I got myself and Bella some coffee. She had caught up to me by now with a bag that looked like it had four items in it. I brushed it off as we entered the dress shop. 

{Bella's P.O.V.}

    I am so excited to get back to the pack house so I can show everyone what I had bought at the jewelry store. I hope that everyone likes what I got them. I had caught up to Jake and of course he got me coffee. I LOVE COFFEE! He handed mine over to me and we walked into the dress store. Every wall was covered in beautiful dresses. One dress caught my eye, and i was dead set on it. Jake was at the front of the store distracted at the fact of how much glitter they could put on one dress. I should  worn him not to touch it due to the fact that I knew it would put glitter all over him, but i decided not to. I walked up to the sales assistant and asked for the dress so i could try it on, and asked if she could find shoes to go with.

    "Of course! I will get the dress down and put in in room two. Then I will go look for shoes and some jewelry that may go well with it.  My name is Faith by the way, I can help you with anything that you may need."

    "Thank you Faith!"  I said with a smile, and walked to the dressing room and waited for her to bring the dress. She handed me the dress and I changed into it. 

    "Hey Faith, I need some help with the zipper."  she knocked on the door and then walked in handing me the shoes and jewelry. Helping me zip the dress all the way up and then leaving so i could get the rest of the way ready. I looked at myself in the mirror took a deep breath and walked out. Jake had made himself comfy on the couch. I cleared my throat to grab his attention away from his phone. I swear he looked like he was going to pass out.

    "Yes, Bella that is the one!"  he practically yelled. This caught the attention of everyone in the store, which made me turn beat red. 

    "Jake! Stop yelling! "  I blurted out. Faith walked over clasping her hands by her face.

    "You look amazing! That red dress looks divine on you!"  she said. I looked at her and smiled. The dress was a high low bright red dress. It has a sweetheart neckline, over the shoulder straps, a belt that had some bling on it but not to much which tided into a bow in the back. It was perfect. Faith had picked out some closed toe black sparkly wedges to go along with the dress. I was in love. 

    "Is this the one?"  Jake and Faith asked at the same time! I nodded yes and we were almost done. I walked over to pay for everything. 

    "Call your mom before we leave . Just to make sure that we do not have to stop anywhere else before we leave."  I said to Jake, and he nodded his head and pulled out his phone. Much to both of our surprise she did not need anything else. We stopped to get some food and made our way home. It seemed to take forever to get home. I was tired and i'm sure Jake is too. We reached home about seven. We unloaded the car and got ready for dinner. 

    We were all enjoying our meals and I had asked "Auntie May and Uncle Ronnie would meet me in the living room after dinner please. Jake you too."  They all looked at me confused but agreed. After dinner we all meet up and sat next to the fire place. Jake noticed that I had the bag from the jewelry store and looked at me confused. 

    "Just sit down you big puppy." I said to Jake with a smile. He did and they all waited. 

    "So today on the way to the mall Jake informed me that you guys have always accepted me as your family and for that I am truly thankful. I know you guys were best friends with my mom and dad and I know that they would be so proud of all of you for taking the lead in raising me. You guys are my family, also. This is just a simple way for me to show you how much I love and appreciate you guys." I handed them each a box. Jake wasted no time , and opened it almost as soon as it hit his hands. 

    "Bella! This is the best thing ever!" he said as he pulled out the watch from its box. He looked at it and seen that I had gotten a message engraved into the back of it. "To the best "watch" dog ever! Love always Bella" He instantly put it on his wrist and jumped up almost knocking me out of my seat. "Thank you! "

"Of Course! Couldn't have my best friend being late to anything anymore!" I smiled and laughed at him. He stared at it in excitement. "Now you Auntie May." I watched as she gently opened the box and tears started rolling down her checks. "Oh no! If you do not like it I can always return them and get you something else!  I exclaimed. She just looked at me.

    "I am not crying because I do not like it honey. I am crying because they are gorgeous!"   she exclaimed. Out of the box she pulled a double strand pearl necklace and matching earnings. She wiped the tears from her face and got up hugging me with the best hug I have had in a really long time. s**t most likely the best hug I have had in at least eight years. She kissed my head and sat back down. I looked at Uncle Ronnie nodding for him to open his, but before he did he got up and walked over to me. He got down on his knees and grabbed my hands in his. 

    "Bella, we have loved you since the day you came into this world. You may not be ours by birth but we have always loved you like you were. Your mother and father, our late Alpha and Luna, were our best friends and we made them a promise just like they did to us. If one or both of us were to pass that we would look after the others child like they were our own. Auntie and myself have always tried to live by that after everything happened. We hoped that we would be able to make your parents proud in raising you to become the next Alpha. Seeing you here now, we can say that we have done our best to help raise someone that will lead us all to greatness. You and Jake will make great leaders when the time comes and we will all always have your back whenever you need us. Please always remember that. We love you Bella." 

    At this point I was a mess. I could feel the tears running freely down my face, he wiped away my tears and gave my a huge bear hug. Which made Auntie Mays seem light. I giggled in his arms still crying like a baby. He pulled away holding onto my shoulders kissing me on my forehead. When he pulled away he smiled.  He sat back down and opened his box. I seen a single tear run down his check. He looked up at me as he wiped it away. Out of the box he pulled a bracelet. It was simple just like him. it had a spot that I was able to also have something engraved. It said "Always and forever your little girl. Love Always Bella" Auntie May leaned over and helped him put it on. He showed her what it said she she started to cry as well.  

    "I love you guys as if you are my parents, and I am luck as hell to have you both in my life. Yes, Jake that includes you. I plan to make you guys just as proud as I know my parents would be. I promise to try to run the pack like my parents would, and I know now that I have a wonderful support team to help me with it all." I said smiling. they all got up and embraced me with a loving family hug.
