It was in my thirty-fourth year on Earth 8 when I didn’t really have much to do; the colonists after three hundred wasted years were proving to be a clever bunch. Sturdy buildings made of the local stone were popping up around the Shuttle area and swinebore pulled carts could be seen everywhere. It would take numerous generations until the population increased to the point that they would enter their own Industrial Revolution, probably starting with steam generation prior to the long climb to generating electrical power.
