The doctor's question barely registered. Robert discarded it instantly.
He burst out of the hospital in a dead sprint and barked at his driver to take him straight to the old family estate.

He hammered on the front door like a madman, his voice cracking as he shouted through thick, wobbly sobs, "Mom, where did Jane go? I remember now, I remember everything! I have to find her. Just tell me where she is, okay?"
