Chapter Two
The Great Flash of Light, was just another glittering glint in a sky that was never black.
Before the first breath of our history, before the great rebound that mortals mistook for an absolute beginning, there is the interior. We did not open our eyes to an empty void, we opened them to a full glowing womb.
Space here did not separate things, it connected them, heavy and thick with a substance that gleamed from every corner. It was a light that defied the vocabulary of the young galaxies. It did not bleed or spill like a candle in a dark room, the void itself emitted a radical brilliant uniform luminescence. A flat matte glow that filled the distance with an indescribable solidity.
Against this endless, unreflective canvas hung the stars. They were not mere points of fire, but dense gems of billions of unknown colors, fracturing the matte sky with sharp violet crimson and iridescent gold spikes.
In this place the monsters did not starve.
The ancient Black Holes, born in the compression before our dawn, were not graves. They were engines, they did not devour the universe to extinguish it, their fuel was the very act of creation its self. Inside their event horizons, the wreckage of endless previously destroyed particles collided in an endless, hyper-dense dance. Every collision an echo of the first spark, a million big bangs igniting new galaxies inside. They would grow. They would spin. Slowly, inevitably, they would be reabsorbed by the very engine that breathed them to existence. Recycled into the beautiful blinding machinery of a cosmos living in the epitome of darkness. Filled with life forever striving to light it.
The Great Flash of Light that changed the realities of universes, that was a mere twinkle in the interior, was a union.
They did not collide to die. They met to Marry. Two singularities, black holes housing vastly different universes, each older than the concept of time, drew together across the luminescent black void. On a mortal scale, a merger of such magnitude would shatter space time, leaving a wake of absolute ruin. But in the interior, this was not an act of destruction, this was the highest form of cosmic genesis.
As their event horizons touched there was no violet tearing of fabric. Instead the universes inside were subjected to a sublime universal evolution. Their internal physics, each governed by rules, elements and dimensions drastically alien to the other, began to weave together. It was a cross polination of fundamental laws. Where one black hole held matter than behaved like liquid light, the other possessed elements that defied gravity with a strange crystalline pressure. As they fused these incompatible realities did not cancle each other out. They transformed.
The collision sparked a radical alchemy of a universal scale. New chemistry was born in the pressure of their embrace, elements never before conceived began to crystalize along the borders of the new shared horizon. The miniature big bangs trapped within their bellies bled into one another, exchanging galaxies like promises. The two ancient entities dissolved their boundaries, pouring their ancient matter into a single grander vessel. They became something entirely new, a mutated titan of physics that expanded the boundaries of what a universe could contain. It was not an end, it was a massive leap forward in the ecosystem of the cosmos.
He stood on the absolute fringe of his reality, at the very lip of the event horizon where his universe was poised to breech our own.
He did not possess eyes in the mortal sense, he did not need them. His vision was bound to the very fabric of the cosmos. The matte glowing matter of the interior, the spinning galaxies of his universe and the replying spins from the merging galaxies. The ancient Black holes and brilliant gems communicated. Every vibrating particle, every shift in gravitational pressure, every swirling galaxies ran through his consciousness like words bleeding across a page. Everything that was, spoke directly into his mind, an endless symphonic narrative of creation and decay.
Right now, the text of his reality was rewriting its self. He felt the first tremors of the merger, it was a deep fundamental shift that resonated through his entire being. He was acutely aware this was no ordinary collision, his home was about to interlock with ours. Though his awareness reached beyond his origins, he knew with absolute certainty, The impending alchemy would change him as drastically as it would rewrite his home cosmos. Nothing would remain untouched, his elements, his thoughts, his very essence would be fused with what ever lay on the other side of the horizon.
But he was not a passive observer to this universal evolution. He felt no fear, only a cold calculating resolve as he chose his path forward. He did not intend to be erased or mutated by random chaos. As the two ancient singularities began their sublime, irreversible embrace, he began to manipulate the strings of the new world. He would steer the ink of the coming chapters. He would ensure that when the two universes became one, the outcome would serve his own design.
Entering his domain, a state of existence that would take a library to describe its alien dimensions, physics and wonders, a place where matter fluctuates, he created an apple seed. The moment it was planted, a 17 foot tree, shining, full bunches of red and green apples hung from strong branches boasting healthy mature green leaves, was living its complete life cycle in every second.
He plucked the apples into a basket, knowing what would become of them, he made a visit.
