Chapter 41
Carmen grabbed his keys and wallet off the dresser, then looked at Tiana. "Are you ready?" he asked.
She nodded and stood up, smoothing her skirt out. She followed him out of the bedroom, then out of his apartment. They got in his car and drove back to the office building. They pulled into the parking garage and got out of the car.
They walked upstairs to their offices and sat down at their desks. They worked for hours, making phone calls and typing up reports. Tiana worked on the project they were supposed to have done the day before, typing up all the numbers. She finally finished at 12:00 and printed it up.
She brought the project to Carmen’s desk and set it down in front of him. "Here," she said.
Carmen looked over the project, then smiled at her. "Great job."
