Pedro frowned when he noticed that his secretary wasn’t on her desk. Adrienne must be absent because it was already past eight in the morning but she wasn’t in the office yet. He sighed before getting himself a cup of hot coffee from the pantry.
“Mom!” He was startled to see his mother coming in with Adrienne. “Mamu said you went somewhere,” he said, and then he noticed that Adrienne was there. Suddenly, he felt relieved to see her.
“Morning, baby! I just dropped by to say hello. By the way, I’ll be using the conference hall for a few hours,” Carmela said but her eyes were on Adrienne.
Pedro’s brows snapped together at her mother’s statement. “What for?” He asked. “Adrienne, can you give this to Keith?”
Adrienne nodded and accepted the documents from Pedro. Well at least, she wouldn’t
