I was stirring the pot of pasta when I felt hands go around my waist when I turned my head to see that it was Jake. I laid my head back on his shoulders, “How did it go?” He shrugged his shoulders, “I get to play in two weeks.” I turned to him placing my arms around his neck, “That is great news.” He smirked at me as he laid his lips against my forehead, “Where is little man?” I pointed my head towards the hall, “In his room.” He started to walked away from me when I told him, “Be care of your feet. There is a Lego explosion that happened.” He chuckled as yelled back, “Only way to play with Legos.” I went back to cooking when there was a knock on the door as I saw Tristian and Jake answered the door. Tiffany and Trevor came into the hall as Tristian jumped into Trevor’s arms, “Daddy, is going to get to play football in two weeks.” Trevor looked over to me as he smirked, “Oh, Really. That is good news, buddy.” Tiffany walked up next to me, “Hey, how have you been holding up since the whole email thing?” I rolled my eyes at her, “Jake told you about that.” She shook her head, “He told Trevor and he told me.” I sighed, “I been fine. I just surprise it took you so long to ask about it.” She tilted her head as she grabbed a carrot stick, “Well, I didn’t wanted to make a big deal just in case it is nothing.” I looked back at Jake as I whispered, “We are being watched by the FBI just in case if anything happens.” Her eyes went wide, “Wow. I didn’t realize it is that bad.” I shook my head, “It more of a formality just in case of my father being behind all this craziness. They want to be around if he shows his face.” She sighed, “s**t. That is scary thinking after all these years he is going to try to get in contact with you.” I looked at the sauce, “Who knows why he would? He crazy so we have to be careful.” She looked back to see where Tristian is, “Have you heard anything about them tracking him down? Or about who sent the email?” I shook my head, “No, they think he laying low to let our guard down.” Tiffany and I jumped when Jake said, “Which we wouldn’t do.” I smiled at him as he walked over and went to the fridge, “That asshole comes near her or that little boy there will be hell to pay.” Tiffany laughed, “Like you can hurt a fly, Jake Michaels.” He rolled his eyes as he clenched his teeth, “When it comes those that I love getting hurt, you never know what I am capable of doing.” Tiffany threw her hands up, “When you say it like that then yes the big football player can squash the hell out of anything.” He chuckled, “I am glad we have an understanding.” I shook my head as I got plates when I pointed to the vegetables, “Tiffany can place the salad together, Racheal and Vincent will be here any minute.” She tilted her head, “How is that working out.” I shrugged my shoulders, “She getting to know him, but he can be little pushy and impatience about getting into a relationship.” She rolled her eyes as she whispered to me as she chopped up the vegetables, “Football players right.”  I laughed at what she meant by that. I have a feeling that if I didn’t cave into a relationship with Jake; he would have found ways to make it a reality. I was his touchdown girl; he was playing for. Now Racheal is Vincent’s touchdown girl that he is trying to play for. After dinner, everyone beside Tristian sat in the living room; he wanted to play with his Legos before going to bed. Jake laid his arm on the back of the couch as I am tucked into his side, “Racheal how have you been feeling?” She sighed, “It is the morning sickness, I wish would go away.” I nodded to her as I leaned forward, “Sometimes it does then sometimes it sticks around like it did for me with Tristian.” She rolled her eyes, “Great. So, I have to deal with this for another seven months.” I chuckled, “Maybe.” Vincent sat next to Racheal as she smirked at him. I gave him a wink knowing that he is trying to show this girl that he is better than that asshole, “Vincent makes a mean chicken soap if you need it.” He looked at me and flipped me off as Sage elbowed me, “Hey just trying to help out.” Racheal smirked at me, “Oh, I know he does. I have a fridge full.” Sunday afternoon, Sage sat down on couch after grabbing snacks for me and Tristian when my little man looked up at me, “Can we go to your first game back.” I shrugged my shoulders as I grabbed my water, “It is up to your mom. I am sure Mr. Bradford would love to have you guys up in the Owner’s Box.” Sage smirked at me, “We will see what the doctor say on Monday about you going out in public. Your immune system is still catching up.” He grunted, “Stupid cancer.” Sage chuckled, “I agree.” I laid my arm around her shoulders as she leaned into my face with her lips on the corner my lips as they curdled up. I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket as I took it out of my pocket with my free hand. It was a text from Walter, “Get ready for practice tomorrow.” I smirked as I placed the phone back into my pocket, “Practice starts tomorrow.” Sage jumped into my arms as she kissed my lips, “That great news.” Things was starting to fall into place for me. I never thought that I would be in a relationship with an amazing girl, have an amazing son; let’s face it he mine biological or not, and an amazing career.” I sat in the doctor’s office with Tristian as Jake headed to practice. Tristian was jumping off the wall, “Tristian, Please. You need to relax.” The doctor came into his office as he laughed, “Someone is turning six this weekend.” Tristian nodded as he grinned, “It would be prefect birthday if I can go to the game.” The doctor smiled, “Well everything looks good. I don’t see why you can’t go if that is what mom wants to do.” He looked up at me with puppy’s eyes, “We can go.” Tristian jumped up. “Yay. I can’t wait to tell daddy.” I called Jake as soon as we got out, “He said that he can go. This is going to be the greatest birthday party.” I tilted my head, “Party?” He chuckled, “Well, yes. It is his birthday and what better way to celebrate it watching me live and in the owner’s box.” I hummed, “What are you planning, Jake.” He chuckled, “Oh just little party up in the owner’s box. Before you start yelling at me for planning it; it was Mr. Bradford’s idea.” I shook my head, “Why doesn’t it surprise me.” I placed my phone back in my bag after getting off the phone with Sage as Nate walked up to me, “So, the birthday boy coming to the game.” I nodded at him, “He got to clear from the doctors. Everything is falling in place for him.” I looked over at the sidelines as I say one of the agents from the FBI standing there. I walked over to him and sighed, “Please tell me good news. I don’t need something raining on my day.” He smirked, “We found Sage’s father. He is in custody.” I threw my hands up and I screamed to the sky, “Perfect day.” The agent laughed, “We are start pulling back the team but a few of the men are going to stick around just in case but I think Sage is now safe.” I got a text from Jake telling me that Tiffany is coming over so we can go out. We haven’t been out in a while. He told me to go shopping for a new dress and that we was celebrating. He had some news. I am nervous but happy where he sounded happy. When things start getting good something in my life comes breaking around me. I am going to try to stay positive that we are on the right track on our life together. Trevor stayed with Tristian while Tiffany and I hit the stores. I was in a fitting room as Tiffany stood on the other side of the door, “Did Jake tell you where you two are going?” I pulled the dress up over my breast, “Nope. Just said that he got some news, and we are going out to celebrate.” She chuckled, “What news?”  I shrugged my shoulders as I looked at myself in the mirror in a green long dress with no straps then opened to door for Tiffany to see, “I have no idea. He seemed excited so it would have do something with his career, Tristian or me.” She rolled her eyes at me as she nodded her head to approve the tenth dress that I tried on, “He is going to ask you to marry him one of these days.” I shook my head as I changed back into my clothes, “I don’t think we are there just yet.” She sighed, “Everything you two have done has been rushed. Which is understandable. With Tristian being sick and all. It is not hard to get into a tailwind of each other.” We walked out of the mall when I saw her, Nicole, f**k. What the hell does she want? She walked up to me as Tiffany growled, “Nicole, aren’t you breaking an order right now.” She rolled her eyes as she looked me up and down, “So, he is really trading me in for you.” I shook my head as I turned to walk the other way, “Not worth my time to answer that.” Tiffany chuckled as she walked along with me when Nicole yelled back, “He will come back to me.” I waved my hand in the air, “Good luck with that.” I texted Jake about my little interaction with Nicole when I arrived home to changed. He was pissed and called the police to let them know that she broke the order.
