DINI WOKE AGAIN TO the feeling that somebody was staring at her. Her eyes shot open and her pulse rose into the danger zone. “Andy! You scared the stuffing out of me!” He chuckled. “Sorry. I was just checking up on you. You’ve been sleeping for quite a while, I was thinking about waking you up to make sure you were okay.” Dini pushed herself to her elbows and looked around, feeling disoriented. “Where am I?” Andy stood up and headed for the door. “I made potato soup. I’ll bring you some.” Dini stared after him, her mind struggling to remember the events that had brought her there.
