CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR HE STOOD IN THE DOORWAY, looking out over the panorama of trees that spread across the property below. The small, hunting cabin sat in the center of the property, at the top of a high bluff, giving it a spectacular view of the area. Dusk made the sky a deep purple, and sent the birds into frantic preparation for the cool night ahead.
