CHAPTER EIGHTEEN THE CABIN SEEMED TO consist of only a main room, a small loft, and the room where she’d been staying. The main room had a kitchen area off to one side, a living area, and another door that looked like it led to a bathroom. Though a small television played across the room, the cabin was empty. Dini headed for the exterior door and opened it. Outside, the air was tinged with wood smoke and the sky was gray. The temperature had dropped several degrees from the last time she’d woken up. There were twin dirt tracks in the grass leading up to the cabin, which apparently served as the driveway, but there was no sign of Andy’s truck.
