Race Outside of Time
“So what’s happenin’ guys?” I’d tried to ask, but no one was giving me any answers as to what was going on, so I didn’t know what to worry or think about. I started to think back to the dream I’d just had as I slipped into a short doze. I felt so calm even though I knew there was something wrong. And I also knew no one was going to tell me yet, and there was no reason to try and guess, so I closed my eyes, breathed in Abe’s attractive scent that lingered through the car, just longing to throw my arms around him, but fought the urge and stayed where I was.
The silence in the car was resonating like a calm before the storm.
