I didn’t want to hear the continued sound of a phone ringing, without any connection being there at the end anymore.
I slid my phone into my pocket and walked out the door. I was due to meet Sandy near Paradise Cove soon for our quick surf and catch up, before I picked up Abe from LAX later on this evening. I tried not to notice the security on second watch from a distance, but they did seem to be hovering much closer than usual today. More like how my parents have security with them obviously, at times.
