He leaves a note for his mother as he walks out to the tournament ground. Eric meets up with his friend hero and after a brief drive from the carriage. The duo arrives in front of an ancient structure that alone stands out. It sheer size is massive and circular in shape structure. Its height is over 100 meter tall and the huge building has many large doors like windows. It has two main entrance , one you use to get out and other you use to get inside the arena and into the fighting stages and inside the entrance there are several passage ways to the spectator area. The duo quickly went to knight of magic to meet the receptionist to register amidst the crowd of people.
"I am here to register my name for the tournament" Eric spoke to the receptionist.
The receptionist quickly turn his gaze to Eric as he points his finger towards a box
" Draw from the lot from this box after that your test opponent is decided, i will give you an entry battle card"
"Test opponent" Eric questions
"Yes, the tournament is divided into three rounds, test round, battle royals and final challenge. We seek people with strongest magic to qualifier for the second round, you must first pass the test round to know if you are strong to survive the battle royals before the top ten best challenge head to head once your opponent is revealed from your lot, then you go fight him if you win then you move to the next round and if you loss, he moves to the next round. This is done to ensure a level of safety".
Hearing this, Eric puts his hand inside the box and picks up a red piece of paper.
"Who is your opponent? the receptionist questioned
Eric replied "Gorilla"
"What? the crowd turns around looking at the direction of the mention name, the receptionist eyes widened. Silent drifted conversation could be heard from the crowd,
"Bad luck! He should look for a comfortable stretcher.
"He is so dead", one said to another.
"The undefeated monster champion"
The receptionist nods pitifully for Eric sake as he delivers a battle entry card.
" i advise you give up on this one she said".Eric smiles
" Am sure i will be fine".
As soon they finished with registration process ,the duo walked spotting Jakes father as he called Jake and then handed a pill,
" This will help win the battle,i have some irritating feeling about that peasant" he looks at the duo,
"This is a magic pill of fire passed down by the Alexander family ,you ought to be trained before you use this pill but our family pride is on the line. Defend the Alexander family"
"I wont need it father" that i***t is very weak "replied Jake,
"Take it with u,i want u to win"
That day every one came prepare with swords , weapon and gadget. The auditorium similar to roman setting is pack full to the brim with people, the prince, Thaddeus, summoned one and entourage walks in to the Colosseum,
Soon princess Setsuna was drag in by knights strapped with chains around her wrist, she is wearing a dirty gown bear footed ,her white hair was matted with dirt and brown blots of blood, Eric stood in the arena entrance looking at the princess, images and memories of his formal love begins to reflect over his mind as the princess and his love share both similar features. He touch his heart squeezing his shirt with his palm in pain, a tear drop roll down his cheek as he feels pain in his heart.
He could remember the last days with Catherine. The days of their part time job together, moments in time when they secretly walk out of their part time job into hidden dark places kissing. He remembers promises they share of how their future will turn out, but facing reality. He squeezed his hands with a spark of ferocious resolve in his eyes.
Eric begins to walk wearing his hooded green cloak covering his face, as the announcer begin to speak.
"Sorry for keeping everyone waiting and the only thing you can trust is your magic, fist and weapon, fight and win and your wish shall be granted by his grace the crown prince Darius.
Now we begin the tournament preliminaries, with participants who have directly registered with the tournament knight of magic.
This an all style magic tournament in which anyone can participate as long as the participants has being registered. furthermore,
there is no timer nor any limitations on weapon used The only way to win is to knock out your opponent or get them to surrender. The next fight test round
Now everyone here is our fighters,
The arena doors begin to open into a sandy field.
"I guess, this were we part ways for now, said Hero, i don't know what your plan his to win but i will be rooting for you Eric"
"Thanks Hero for everything but this time, i will wont be defeated" Eric taps Hero by his shoulder as he walks. Beyond the door begins the sand, across his sandaled feet it dances, waving its way in between his toes. Its warm and pleasant , the Colosseum illuminated light in the arena as cheers continue. The Colosseum is only fifth of its maximum capacity.
"Princess Setsuna am coming to get you, am no more weak Eric anymore". Eric eyes gleam with resolve

I make my way to the centre of the arena as the drums begins to beat furiously to welcome the undefeated champion and then the door at the other end begins to mildly open with dust covering the door and from the dark. I hear a loud thud on the ground. It shook the ground were i stood.
"What the the hell? How is this battle for my own safety" Eric eyes widened when a two story giant with elf ears bend his body walking out of a huge door that could fit ten people.
Gorilla,my opponent is aptly named, a two story tall giant stands shirtless with a body of ripping muscles, on a steel helmet covering his head and giant axe in each of his hands. i wondered if he his stronger than me, a tab shows up.
