Eric stared at the beautiful damsel in front of him in a distance. Eric began to feel what Betty felt. He understood the feeling of heartbreak, and, from the get go he knew that Setsuna was not of his class and completely out of his reach if not why will a young girl want to run away with him. He had seen this cliché story before were a man gets annoyed and walks away in anger but rather he would choose to understand the situation.
Eric a master of all trade, he held unto a cup of wine like a noble man and gulped it down with one swoop out of a feeling of rage and frustration but he remain calm with blank expression on his face.
Ladies chuckled in front of him with all kinds of questions but he was standing taller than most men. His heart burden with sadness and thoughts bang the walls of every corner of his mind.
he decided to go home since the reason he came here was settled after all , he never did belong to this kind of environment and just then he was curious to why this person wanted him to find the truth, who is this person and to what intentions did that person do this. Was it for good so as he would not be punished for touching a royal blood or because that person was jealously in love with Setsuna. Eric was a curious minded fellow and so he reached to the right side of his pant pocket and he unveil the letter and the location of where he should go and they began to walk.
Setsuna roams her eyes in shock" oh no, he found out and he is going to leave me" her heart shook pounding with fear. The thoughts of him walking out of her life, the thought that she would never have chance to see someone like him again flash through the corners of her mind.
She instantly ran down the stairs with much urgency after him, few guest, frustrated Jake and her father wondered what might be the trouble. They stared at her while Quinn laughed in amazement to the drama unfolding, Eric walked in the midst of the crowd making his way out when suddenly he felt a hand touch him. He turns his face to look.
"Eric , Eric " Setuna touch him by hand, hot tears rolled down from the right side of her cheeks,
"I am so sorry, i am really so sorry, I never wanted you to find out this way. I was going to tell you. I really wanted to tell you about it and I never met of deceived you but I couldn't bring myself to tell you that I was a princess because I know you would leave me please Eric am so sor.....ry " Eric cuts in.
"So what do you want me to do now, you are matched with Duran to marry, a prince and I am no match at all. You should have told me and I won't feel so frustrated as I am now"
"I feel like I was deceived"
"No, no" Setsuna held him with both hand.
" I know you have every right to be angry and walked away but I really want you to know my honest feeling. After that day when you saved me I was really happy. I have never felt this way about anyone else the way I feel for you. I never really said it but truly I am in love with you. i deeply love you Eric and I would give up anything in the world to be with you for eternity, that's what my heart truly feels about you", tears rolld down her cheek as Setsuna couldn't hold it back, Jake wondering what was happening and assume it was that man that made her cry. he decided to walk towards them.
"Is anything the matter, Princess Felicia?"
"No, not at all, a fly flew straight into my eye" replied Setsuna turning her face away from Jake
"A fly? questioned Jake while Jake try to figure things out for himself, Eric cuts in with his face twitching in way indicating for Jake to piss off.
"yes" A very huge fly, may I have this last dance? Questioned Eric bows
Setsuna surprised and she nods.Jake annoyed and furious to the reply that Eric made cutting him off with the princess. Eric and Princess walks to the center stage and they both began to dance with ethics to the dance ball. Setsuna held him by the left shoulder and the duo squeeze their palm together clustered with with fingers and Setsuna commented
"My offer still stands, I want you to run away with me" they turn their body's along other gentlemen dancing to a violin strings in the ball
"Didn't you hear me, it's my last dance. If you were a noble's daughter then it would be ok but a princess of Andcross. Andcross is powerful in military strength and used to be number one before the fall. The king will search and find us, especially your prince Duran, there is no place to hide"
"So what are you saying that I am to marry a man I don't love and what's bad it a sentence to life in marriage prison. I might even be killed by him, he hates half breed"Setuna exclamed then something entered into her mind,
“How about we do the thing, you know do the thing man and woman do" questions Setsuna
."Do what?
“Stop pretending, you know what am talking about I want to carry your child, maybe if I do that, they will leave me be" Setsuna speaks smiling.
“And that would be in the expense of my head, No thank you, I Rather not Eric" replied with suprised look on his face.
Quinn looking at the duo dancing remarkably on the dance floor with all eyes on them and prince Duran watch in disgust. Quinn wondered how it that a commoner can dance this way is.
"No fun, Quinn said "I will tweak the heat up a bit" she walks to her father.
"Who is that delightful young man dancing with Setsuna” Questioned the king Marcus
"He is the one I told you about, the commoners blood who Setsuna as been dating of late"
"What? and you allowed him here, where did he get a Tunis from that he is wearing “Questioned the king
"Perhaps, Setsuna must have stolen it. He is as tall as brother and so it might be his tunics after all he is a commoner, I can't see how he would buy such an exquisite material not to talk of the cost of sewing it" replied Quinn
"Get me the guards now" the king demanded.
"Father Wait, I do have planned to get rid of him. All I want you to do make a decree" Quinn smiles mischievously as he and the king whispered in silence.
After several gentle dance moves by the duo, Setsuna held the right hand of Eric pulling him over,
'' Come, there is something i wish to show you and also discuss' the Duo walked out of the ball to the court to place filled with beautiful flowers garden outside the palace. Setsuna holding unto her gown with both hands and Eric walking side by side with her and she speaks.
'' I was wondering Eric before my marriage, After i have gone to Santarosa and returned back. I would like us to escape leaving this city. I plan to take my mother and brother along and i would use the opportunity to check for city's conducive enough were we can start a living without be trace and notice. What do you say '' instantly the thunderclap growl across the sky and the rain begins to fall.
'' Let’s head back to the ball room, i would think about it" Eric replies
''No, i have a better idea '' Setuna held his hands pulled him to her castle, thunderclap growls with barrage of rain from the sky.
