Chapter 13: Junk Rat Tavern

~Prince Ryan's P.O. V~

        I felt the bones in his jaw crack against my knuckles, his body went flying into a nearby tree and broke it in half. I was in a rage, my bride had been relocated else where. I stared at Dracula with hate burning in my heart. This son of a b***h knew where she went and isn't giving her away. Howls of the flea bags were ringing throughout the air, I heard their paws hitting the sand as they were running to me. The first one shifted back to his human for and was glaring at me. I wish Vivian had told me that she was working with slobber mouths, but then again she probably didn't know.

"Who are you?!" The man said to me.

"I should be asking you that, Mutt."

"I'm the Alpha to The Crimson Moonlight Pack." Oh, so another of high ranking. He is a strong one too.

"Well, Alpha, I am Prince Ryan of the Alpine Herd. And I am here for my bride." I heard the other growling. That must be Luna Mabel, I heard her beauty was of legend. Though, I doubt she could ever compare to my Gem.

"You're the one that's been haunting my Luna's friend? Good. I can kill you here." He was getting ready to shift again.

"Easy there, Alpha Max. I do not want to kill you. I just want my beauty, my love, my Gemstone."

"You're are not getting her." Dracula stood back up and rolled his shoulders.

"Oh? I can still track her. I was just coming to pick her up personally."

The Alpha scuffs, "You don't even know her. You just want her for her powers." Okay, maybe some mutts aren't as dumb as they look.

"And? She is prophesized to be mine. And together we will rule the Mythical World."

The Luna shifted back, "You will never have her." Seems the rumors were true. Long blond hair, gorgeous golden eyes, beautiful peachy skin and lips as red as the rose. She is indeed quite the looker. Still, she didn't hold a candle to my Ruby.

"Luna Mabel, I am not looking to kill anyone over a simple matter of a mare. But this particular mare? She is my destiny." 

"And I am protecting my friend from you!" Protecting? Were they assuming I was going to harm her?

"You are all acting as if I would harm my diamond in the rough. I would never," I was actually quite hurt that they would assume that. "she is my treasure, my goddess and deserves the riches of the world we will create together." 

"Oh, yeah? Then why have her be terrified of you? Your image scared the s**t out of her!" Alpha Max yelled.

"Odd. I just wanted to show her what her future husband looked like." She was truly scared of me? No doubt from her past. I will let her kill Clarissa when I get her to my side. She deserves the justice for her parents.

"Leave, Prince Ryan. You will not find her here. And I don't trust you." Luna Mabel growled furiously at me.

I raise my hands up in surrender, I was out numbered here. Wolves are considerably stronger than Unicorns and if they are Alpha and Luna then surviving them is a slim to none chance, "I'll go, just give me a clue? She means more to me than you realize." 

"No!" They all yelled in unison. I walked backwards to my ship with my hands still raised up. Once the loading door was closed, I turned around  and headed to the captains quarters. Vivian needed to track my beloved down again.

~Ruby's P.O. V~

        Chess and I walked in this frozen world for what seemed like days, I had to resort into shifting just to get acclimated to the cold, Chess had to as well, thanks to the snow, I wasn't easily spotted, Chess however was. A couple of human kids saw him and tried to point him out to their parents. Thanks to my height and my coat, I was able to hide him before they looked. I was super hungry at this point, and there was no true direction. No sign of this Junk Rat Tavern Mountain, but then again, they are still hiding from the world. Chess whined at me and we rested inside a nearby cave. Being in animal forms, we cuddled close together for warmth.

"Ru?" Chess shifted back for a moment. "What if we don't find them? To be honest, they could have relocated after hundreds of years. I'm not optimistic here." I had to shift back to.

"We have to have faith that they are still here, we just have to keep looking." He pulled me closer to him and dug his nose in the crook of my neck.

"You smell like watermelon and lemonade." I couldn't help it, I chuckled a little.

 "Ruby. We'll probably not have a better time than now, but I would like to mark you. May I?" I was wondering when he would ask. I nodded before turning my neck to expose the marking spot. "May I mate you first?" I again nodded. This was going to be my first time. In a frozen tundra in a cave well away from people. I should want a warm bed, but this seemed perfect. He gently laid me down on the ground, I could see his turn on easily. He began kissing every inch of me, massaging me before doing the deed. At first it hurt, I had to squeeze my eyes shut to keep the tears at bay. When I adjusted, he slowly began making love to me tonight. Then it happened, I felt his teeth sink into my neck. I returned his mark with my own, that is when it got really heated for us. Once our ecstasy had calmed down, we licked each others mark to seal it in place.

"I love you, Chess."

"I love you too, Ruby."

"Awe! Ain't that sweet." At the entrance of the cave stood a very well built but tiny man. "Get some clothes on you horny... Dogs? No. Asses?" Then he shined a light on us. "Jimmy Christ! It's you!" He dropped the light. "The White Mare. Hold on to yourselves. You're getting dropped." He pressed a hidden button and the floor beneath us split like a banana. We fell from a great height into what looked like a whole bunch of wool. 

"Oi! Lass! Are you alright? What about you, Laddie?" He was laughing.

"The hell do you think you are doing?! She could have been hurt" Chester growled at him.

"Oh, I'm sorry. But, it was not I having s*x on the front porch of the dwarves, lad! Show some respect." He snapped his fingers, the wool around us came to life, the started to weave around our bodies, creating clothes for us. When they were done, I had a look over at myself. It was a grogeous white dress that was long sleeved and it was warm. The length covered my feet too and it was skin tight. Once I was done looking at myself, I looked over to Chess, he had a matching three piece suit."Welcome! To Junk Rat Mountain! " He jumped down and pulled a rope, closing the secret door. "I'm Hamish Morris. The Head Tinker of Junk Rat. Follow me." 

"Wait! You're a dwarf?" Chester had to go and ask.

"I prefer Head Tinker if ya don' mind, lad."

"This is where Phillipe is?" I wanted to make sure.

"Was. Lassie. He... He died not too long ago. But, don't ya worry ya pretty lil' head. I took up the title for 'I'm. After all, he was my father."

"I'm sorry to hear that." I was kind of excited to meet him.

"Eh, he went the way he wanted, lass. In a great battle against a mighty foe!"

"He died because of a shark he couldn't handle, ya daft old fool." A woman came up to us.

"Quiet down, woman. We're in the presence of The White Mare."

"Oh, knock it off, Hamish. I am sure she wants to be treated like normal. Don't ya, lassie?"

"Yes, please?" I looked at the woman, long red curly hair, hazel eyes and around the same height as Hamish. She was kind of cute, like in a Cabbage Patch Kid way. 

"Come on, lassie. Let's get you and your partner warmed up. And later, we'll be holding a grand feast. Everyone has been dying to meet ya." She said.

"Violet! Ya spoiled the surprise." They helped us out of the wool.

"Well, I am sorry, Hamish. But, they deserved to know."

"Aye, at the gathering. Not here!" They bickered like an old married couple, I giggled a little as I watched them argue. It was absolutley adorable, and I wanted that with Chess. Only a short time ago was my heart closed off to what it wanted and needed. I can love and with my mate by my side, I felt like I could conquer he challenges ahead.

          I decided to take a look at the mountain walls and was pleasently surprised, if it wasn't for the name you would not have known this was a mountain. The walls were obsidian and on them hung the dwarf symbol. Two axes that crossed in front of an eagle. The colors were crimson and copper. This was no mountain, this is a fortress hidden under ground. It was absolutley stunning and I loved it all.
