Chapter 18: Captured

~Chester's P.O. V~

        Hours had gone by since this demon led me into here. Blow after blow has been swung at me, narrowly dodging his attacks. The ground was solid rock, yet it felt like metal beneath my feet. Every scrape, bruise and scratch I gain feels more painful than the last. I'm dodging for my life here, a demon as powerful as he is can crush me. I had to gain some ground here, I am a beta after all. I trainined with the pack warriors since I was 10 years old. I will not be beaten here! Fueling my anger towards this prince guy and Alpha Evens, I let Saffron take control. Seeing the pool, hearing that not one but two people want my mate for themselves and then there was Vladimir. He was third on my list to destroy.

"Oh, ho. Getting serious now, aren't we." He said matter of factly.

Saffron snapped his jaws and began growling. 

(Mate will not be taken from us!) Saff, calm down, dude. Ruby is hidden away here, now. We have to concentrate on killing the only 3 threats to her. (Something isn't sitting well with me. I sense a fierce presence.) 

"Fight!" Yelled Jinx. I shook the thoughts from my mind and started attacking Jinx. He was well trained. And now that I am being serious, we were on parr with each other. Hours more passed and all we could get on each other were small scrapes and scratches. We both collapsed on our asses as we were breathing heavily.

"Damn it... I thought I... Had you, Jinx." I laughed a little.

"I thought... The same about... You, Beta." We both got up from sparring too much and went to get some food. We ran into Hamish and Violet again.

"How is trainin', Laddy" Hamish asked.

"He is doing very well. I expected him to be lower ranked, but he surprised me." Jinx replied.

"Oh, is he now? Good on you, Laddy." Violet patted the small of my back.

"Where is Ruby?" I asked.

"She is with your goddess. They apparently had much to talk about." Hamish said. The Moon Goddess was here?! 

I am, Chester. Your mate is still alive and well. I have her on a mission right now. You need not worry, my child. The sweetest voice that entered my mind was now gone. I was relieved to her her say those words. I took a seat in the main kitchen and had what I assumed was breakfast.

~The Witch Hailey's P.O. V~

-One month later-

It was taking too long to find Junk Rat Tavern, the snow covered everything and the winds were like glass shattered across my face. We had to keep looking, I needed to warn her. I had taken a wrong step and fell to my knees.

"Sister!" Priscilla called out. I was freezing. Priscilla came to my side and lifted me up. "Look. There's a cave over there." I nodded to her to take us to it. She was strong for her age and very kind hearted. She carried us into the cave and started a fire with her magic.

"Thank you, Prissy."

"Hailey... You do realize that we might have to kill Viv, right?"

"I know. She has gone against us more than just this."

"Why did she?"

"You know her, she tries to preserve her own life and ambitions. Even if it means handing over the world to Ryan."

Just then, the floor beneath us gave out, we were falling and screaming. The fire we had started was put out instantly. We fell into a thing of cotton and it was surprisingly warm in here. Wait... I sat up and looked sound. Finally, Junk Rat Tavern.

"Oi! Hailey! You okay, lassy!" Hamish yelled up.

"Yes! My sister and I are okay." The magical threads I wove many years ago made sure to let us off gently. 

"What brings ya lassies here?" He asked.

"The Gemstone Mare. I have to warn her." I told him.

"About?" I looked to Priscilla and she gave a nod to go ahead and tell him.

"She's in danger. The Prince of the Unicorns is looking for her. He has narrowed her location down to 1 of the 10 magical areas."

"We need her to go to a new location or something. She cannot be found." Priscilla followed up.

"Aye... We already know that much. She is with The Moon Goddess at the moment. How long do we have?"

I exchanged looks with my sister once again. She looked sad and nodded once more.

"Less than 24 hours now. I am so sorry, Hamish." I apologized to him.

"Not your fault, Lassies. Come, a nice hot cup of cider or tea will do you some good." He led us to the kitchen where another was sitting and eating. He was cute, green eyes were always an attractive quality.

"Keep staring at me like that and Ruby will tear you a new one." Oh, s**t. I looked to his neck and sure enough, there was a mark on it. His mark was in the shape of a catalyst with a gem in the middle of it. Ruby marked him. I breathed a sigh of relief.

"I don't mean to pry, but are you her mate?" Priscilla asked.

"That I am. Name's Chester. Beta to the Crimson Moonlight Pack." A beta?!? I was overjoyed at his new information. Wait... The Cri-

"Alpha Max's pack?! Isn't the Luna like blessed by your goddess?!"

"Luna Mabel is indeed a blessed wolf. Why?" He asks.

"There is nothing stronger than having a blessed wolf to protect Ruby... Prissy?!? This means that she can be totally safe and that arrogant prince cannot get to her!" I yelled in joyous marriment.

~Prince Ryan's P.O. V.~

I knew one of them would betray me, I had trackers on them at all times. Hailey and Priscilla just led me to the Tavern. Now was my chance to seize my soon to be wife. I sent my troops ahead and told them to be very discreet about getting in. I didn't want to fight, so I used my stealth troops. My princess was with The Moon Goddess right now and I had to be patient. Once the old goddess leaves, I shall claim what is rightfully mine. It took about another hour before I got word that she disappeared, Ruby was out cold from her trip in the stars. How do I know all this? I have heard stories about that flooring the Moon Goddess created, it teleports ones soul to find another. I waited for another 10 or so minutes then, I gave the command. My troops were able to get her without a fuss or a fight. They came back to my aircraft with her body and handed her over to me.

"She's sound asleep, my lord. We already gave you a description of where we found her."

"Good job. Now, let's get out of here. She'll freeze if we don't." 

"Sir!" They all saluted and climbed in. I had Vivian with me to keep my darling asleep. Once she did that, I made sure there were no traces of another on her. When I saw the mark of what I assume could have been a wolfs mark on her beautiful neck, my blood boiled. This wolf had to die now. 

"Can you get rid of it?" I asked Vivian.

"No. This is a mark of a ranked wolf. Not an alpha, but Gamma or Beta. It's impossible to erase those." She stated. f**k! I had to calm myself. 

"Can you keep her asleep until I kill whomever marked her?"

"That I can do. How long?"

"No later than 3 weeks. She needs to see her future husband some time soon."

"Very well." Vivian cast the spell on my beloveds mind to keep her in a deep sleep. Gods and goddesses above, Ruby was more than gorgeous, she is a beauty without compare. I had laid her down on the seats next to me, leaned down in her ear and whispered,

"You will have your revenge for your family, my dear. Be patient a little longer." I then studied her lips, those gorgeous pink lips. I could not help myself, I closed the distance between mine and hers and gently kissed her pillowy lips. She tasted magnificent. All in due time will I have her for myself. I just had to relieve her from her bond with whatever ranked wolf that marked her.

"Be careful. We don't want to tip them off yet. Kissing her is pushing it, but do anything else and she'll feel it too." Vivian warned me. We landed back home in the Alpines in record time. I lifted my bride and took her to ur room. I caressed her body, she was simply magnificent, her curves, her hair, her endowment. If I couldn't touch her like I wanted to until that wolf was dead, then I could do other things to her. I discarded her clothes and tossed away the matching underwear. I crawled in bed next her and held her close. I had no intention of anything s****l with her just yet, I did however want to admire her body without clothes on. I covered us with the blanket and took in her scent.

Remember, we don't want to alarm them yet. Give it three days then I will wake her up enough so you can take what is yours. Vivian's voice echoed in my mind.

Will she remember?

No, I can erase the memory if you want me to. 

Can you make her willingly give herself to me?

I can, but it would be as if she saw her mate when she wakes up.

Can you do that now? 

No. Like I said, wait 3 days.

Very well... The connection was broken and I had started to fall asleep.

~Ruby's P.O. V~

I had to whisper yell at the Moon Goddess, "What do you mean you cannot interfere?! They want to kinap me!"

"I know. But since this involves Chester, I cannot be involved." She said to me. 

"Why the hell not?!"

"Remember when I said that I am not allowed to interfere with Werewolf or mortal kind?"

"Yes. I remember that."

"Chester is a Werewolf. So, I cannot stop this."

"What if he you know... Does something s****l to me?"

"I still cannot interfere. I am sorry. Have faith that Chester will find you, all I can do is hope for you two. Speaking like this in your spirit form allows me to say this without others ears." I looked around. I saw the men cloaked in black watching me and the Moon Goddess. Earlier, I used my connection to track my own Goddess, she's somewhere in the waters of Greenland and the Moon Goddess will petition the others to let her seek out Kir'in. Then, the moment arrived. "Blessed be, young one." She left me and I was pulled back into my body where I found unconsciousness. 'Have faith' was the last thing I heard.
