I WASN’T SURE WHAT school would be like, now that Chase and I were officially a couple. Part of me worried that the weekend had been it for us. That he’d ignore me and go back to his A-squad friends.
As it turned out, he wasn’t even around school Monday morning. I thought about texting Chase but thought it better to give him some space. I was determined not to hound him like Mattie, needing to know where he was every minute of the day. I’d learned that she’d constantly texted him while they’d been together and how annoyed he’d been.
