THEY SAY THAT JASON died the moment he hit the pavement below. We were told by the security guards that he’d lost his grip on the ledge, which is how he’d plummeted to his death.
Mattie was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder. There’d been quite a bit of evidence against her, in Jason’s phone. Numerous texts between the two of them that were very incriminating. So, there was a pretty good case against her. The trial was set for January and she wasn’t eligible for bail. We also found out later that Mattie wasn’t actually pregnant. She’d made the entire thing up, or had believed herself to be. It just proved how truly nutty she was.
