When his phone beeped with a call from Zara at some minutes before six, he knew she was already downstairs waiting, so he got into the elevator. He was already thinking about seeing her again, almost all day now, even in his meeting. He had expected her to show up looking so out of place with one of those big dresses of hers, but what he didn’t expect was to step out of the elevator to see her sprawled out on the floor as if she was trying to bond with the marble.
