Thirteen “This is nice,” Ben remarked, resting his cheek on the top of June’s head. No, he thought, nice was far too weak a word for the simple pleasure he took from the feel of her snuggled against him. She sat with her head on his shoulder, her arm around tucked around his torso, and her legs entwined with his. They hadn’t yet turned on any lights, but the living room was mutedly illuminated by the rosy light of the glowing sunset. “Mmm. It is.” They had worked down at the Ramshorn today, returned home for a lovely dinner together and had decided to round out the evening with a movie.
