June drank the rest of her water and set the glass in the sink before heading downstairs. Luke was asleep in the spare bedroom with Cheyenne snoring at his feet. Turning away, she tiptoed into her old room, which, like the kitchen, had been repainted and redecorated with a touch of Tuscany. The changes struck a chord of longing in her, and she wished Ben had taken up the offer to stay here instead of at his house in Poulsbo.
