As I was about to head to my assigned guest room, Alpha Julius’s firm voice stopped me.
“Jay, may I have a word?”
I stiffened, a sudden wave of unease settling in my chest. There was something about his tone—calm yet authoritative—that told me this wasn’t a casual conversation. Still, I nodded respectfully.
“Of course, Alpha Julius.”
He gestured toward the guest room I was about to enter. “Let’s talk inside.”
Without a word, I opened the door and stepped aside, allowing him in before quietly closing the door behind us.
