Annie, the maid, stepped in looking nervous. Her eyes flickered to Beta Lucas before she spoke, “Beta Lucas, Miss Megan’s sister, Miss Mika, is here. She’s asking to speak with both you and Miss Megan.”
Beta Lucas frowned immediately, crossing his arms. “Why does she want to talk to us?”
Annie hesitated, glancing in my direction before answering. “According to Miss Mika, their parents, Karla and Harry, are missing.”
