Rose “No, just stay the f**k away from my son,” I growl. He laughs once more, clearly amused. “At the ball tomorrow, I have a surprise for you. Stay alert.” He tells me, then turns his head to look at the aisle. “Rose!” The delicate voice snaps me out of my trance. My head slowly turns to the direction the voice is coming from. I don’t spot Cass or Maya. I turn back and the rogue is gone. He leaves nothing behind, not even a scent. It’s like he wasn’t there in the first place.
