Lucious looks at me. He smiles, his eyes actually lighting up in a grin.
“Are you sure you want that?” he asks, closing the distance.
“Yes, please,” it’s a whimper.
“Oh, little mate, I want to give you what you want, but I don’t want you to use me to make your ex-lover jealous.” Lucious’ velvet voice makes me squirm.

He turns me around and makes me face the wolves that are watching. The surprised faces are priceless.
Today wasn’t meant to go this way, but Jolene had to act with this drama.
“Why are they surprised?” I ask him. They are more scared than surprised.
“Because you asked Alpha Hayes to take you. Do you know what happens to wolves that do that?” His voice rumbles, exciting my nerves.
