Ariel managed to make Dominik eat a bowl of porridge since he had refused to take the meal. It was important to fill his stomach by taking a painkiller.
"You should go to bed. I'll stay here," Dominik said.
"No. Let me be with you," Ariel urged.
"Go, Ariel. Please," Dominik said in a tone of urgency, but he kept his tone soft toward her. "I want to be alone for some time," he said.
"Promise me you won't hurt yourself," Ariel said, her tears on the verge of falling off her eyes.
"I won't. I promise, Love," Dominik said.
That was it. Those words were enough for Ariel to trust him and leave him alone. "Alright," she asserted and left the study room, taking the first-aid kit with her.
As the door closed, Dominik pulled out the chest of the drawer and took out his photo of Julie.
