CHAPTER 14: A NEW CHAPTER.

VIVIAN'S POV

It was a beautiful Monday morning,birds chirping, the whooshing sound of the wind and the sunlight rays reflected through my window, glowing on my face, waking me up from slumber. I looked at the time, it was some minutes passed eight and I had to be at work by nine.

I hurriedly rose up from my bed, my Mom would be sleeping by now, I shouldn't disturb her. I went inside my little bathroom, showered and washed my hair. came out with a towel wrapped around me and also one wrapped on my head. I blew dried my hair and did my makeup, before going to my closet to see what I'll wear today. I didn't really have much in my closet, just few. I had to sell most of the expensive one's I have, but I can manage.

I tied my hair in a messy bun, with some strands dripping down from it, but I didn't care I had to get to work on time. I wore my black sweat shirt that has a hoodie but it's above my belly button. I wore it with some jean trousers and sneakers,wore my lucky bracelet and grabbed my hand bag and ran out of my room. I went to mom's room but she was still asleep. I left her a note and some money for feeding before going off to work.

I arrived at the restaurant and there were already a lot of customers waiting. I went straight to the. 'STAFFS ONLY' door and slided in. my two colleagues and best friends ran up to me. Stephanie and Juliet. "you're late again, Sam has been looking for you" Steph said. " Yh. and we had cover up for you again" Juliet concluded. I smiled at them and said. "I'm sorry, but thanks for covering up for me. it wouldn't happen again" "isn't that what you said the last time?" Steph said and walked away. Juliet followed suit.

"Hi." I turned back to see who it was, I gleamed and gave him a hug. it was Liam, my other colleague and also my boyfriend. yh my boyfriend, I've moved on after what happened the last time and I even doubt if I would ever see Lucas again. Liam came into my life when it was really really worse for me, he didn't have the world but he has a big heart. He was the one that got me a job here and he also assisted with the bills.

"Have any of the vacant offices called you". he asked. "Nope, not yet, maybe they'll reject it again" I responded.

Well I've applied to some companies for vacant positions but I usually use to be rejected, I wasn't even sure if they'll accept me, cuz I applied for two companies, I've been praying and hoping that they'll accept me. it'll really change my life. "Hey, don't worry about it okay, you'll get accepted, you just have to believe in yourself. okay?" he said and went to his position.

Well I went out to take orders from customers, I went to table 7 with my note to take orders, the couple on this table looked cute,they looked elegant and nice looking, the lady was a Blondy,she was wearing a blue expensive dress with heavy make up that made her look arrogant but the Man looked simple with his tuxedo. he looked like a businessman. I went to their table to take their orders but the look the lady gave me was unsettling, I had to focus my attention on the guy.

"Can I take your orders please" I said staring from the lady to the Man. "I told you that we shouldn't have come to this restaurant, all the staffs here are ugly and rude" the lady said to the man. was she even aware that I'm standing right in front of them.

"come on Jamie, just order something and leave the waitress alone" The Man said to the lady that I now recognize as Jamie. " Fine" she said and turned to me. "start reciting every single dish you have here, I'm listening" "I'm sorry ma'am but you are with the menu, I only came to give you what you want particularly" I said trying my best not to lash out at her. "you're very rude,is that how to talk to your customers? where is your manager, I need to see him" she said getting up from her chair, I hurriedly started begging her, the last thing I want is to get into trouble. "Fine" she said again bringing out and stretching her legs forward. " Help me knot my shoes" she said, I hurriedly bent down and started knotting her shoes,it was quite expensive though. After ordering me around for some minutes, she finally ordered and left, it was a relief.

The rest of the day went as usual, I hanged out a little with Steph and Juliet before going back home. it was already late and my Mom had gone to bed. I went to my room, took my bathe and headed to the kitchen to eat my dinner. After dishing my dinner, I went back upstairs to sleep, I laid on the bed staring at the ceiling. I decided to just go through my laptop for a while, since I'm not feeling sleepy. and then I saw one new email message. I opened it and it was from the Kingston's corporation, where I applied for a job there, maybe it's just another rejection message again, I wanted to go back to sleep but I opened the message anyways. OMG no way. like what???? I got approved by the company, I must be dreaming, I don't believe it... I finally have the opportunity for a better life. The message said that I'll have to be interviewed this Wednesday, which means I'll have to give an excuse or take a leave from my current boss.

I called Liam to tell him the Good News, he was really happy for me, he decided that after work tomorrow, we'll go out to celebrate it. I also called Steph and Juliet,they did likewise. I was so nervous, what if I didn't get the job after my interview, then all my happiness would be in vain. No. I have to have a positive mindset. First thing tomorrow morning I'll tell my mom about the good news. A new chapter have finally began for us.
