“So the DNA checks out. Those blobs you sent back were bodies and human. They’ve sent the results of the autopsies you asked for too.” He frowned as he read them. “Of seventy-eight selected bodies fifty-three were found to be totally deficient of potassium. Somehow it had been leeched from the system. Others—” He broke off and looked at Varl. “No brains,” he said bleakly. “Are they serious?”
