Adeline
Maverick, I'm pregnant. Three of the four strip tests I performed were positive. We are expecting a child.
Adeline, I've always known that you're a self-centred individual who doesn't give a damn about what other people think. Whoa! Additionally, you are power-hungry and will stop at nothing to obtain power.
"What?"
"You lost your father five or six months ago, which was the last time we met."
“I made the correction two months ago. We didn't wear any protection since you wanted to go down with me while a little inebriated.
I was unaware that you had already ejaculated in me until it was too late.
"Since I was in a rut and you were sober and I was inebriated, the least I could have asked from you was to inform me of our error."
"Error? When I heard Maverick's cruel remark, my heart fell. To me, every second I had with him that evening was incredible, and all he could say was that it had been a mistake. I take a deep breath and go on. You were nowhere to be found when I woke up the next morning, and there were rumours that you had gone to the neighbouring pack for a peace treaty. You know how an omega like me would go to the healer to get a post-pill."
Do you believe my happiness at learning I was pregnant was justified?
I choked on my own words: "I was so terrified; to even talk to anyone about this was not easy for me knowing my place in the pack."
"This is our kid, and the moon goodness wants to use it to bless us. Can't you see that it's a sign of our love?" "I adore this child more than everything in the world."
But I had no idea that what I had just said had agitated Maverick even further.
"You say, 'Sign of our love,' but he pulled his hands together with a snarl of anger that startled me even more. I've never witnessed him acting so violently. Was I not explicit enough when I said, "Until I assume my father's role as the alpha, we must keep this a secret"?
The moon goddess fated me to be an alpha, and my hidden crush, Maverick Blackwood, was already shocking me with his attitude. Maverick was the son of an alpha from the Redwood pack, and I was an omega, the least in the pack. Since we were little, Maverick and I have been great friends. He has always defended me against those who would try to embarrass or bully me.
"Let me be clear: I am going to marry Dara, the daughter of the Star Pack Alpha, and I will make her my Luna. I want that, and my father is already putting pressure on me to act in the best interests of the pack.
"I can't pick Luna and make the same error my father did. You're currently attempting to bind me down with a baby by acting in a self-centred, deceptive, and irrational manner. Adeline, however, you knew the restrictions before we began our covert relationship, so I won't make you my Luna.
That Maverick, who always declares his love for me, would tell me all of this astounds me. Standing in front of him and denying his own flesh and blood made me feel so degraded.
"I am Maverick,"
"Alpha!" he exclaimed. "Because I am your Alpha, you call me Alpha."
"I am carrying your seed, Alpha. It was not anything I had planned. Maverick, I'm still your buddy. There's a reason the moon goddess picked me for you.
"Adeline, I can't be with someone like you because you'll weaken my lineage. and endanger my ancestry. You made the decision to warm my bed, even though you knew I would never make you my Luna.
"Maverick... I cried silently, "Alpha, you can't speak to me in such a manner."
His remarks struck me as though they were arrows pointed directly at my heart. The moon goddess chose me for him; by warming one another's beds, we were doing no wrong at all.
"If you had behaved properly and avoided getting pregnant, I wouldn't have spoken to you in that way." You and the baby are the only things I want to have no part in. I can have the pack nurse tend to the small matter inside of you."
"Are you advocating for abortion, Maverick?" I said, my eyes welling with tears.
It was unbelievable to me that he would ever bring up the idea that, since this was also his baby, he ought to have shown some emotion. Instead, he stood in front of me without showing any. Those were not the nights I spent with this man. The man who had informed me about his amazing ambitions for their pack was not this man. This was not the man who expressed to me his wish for equality for their pack. Furthermore, this was most obviously not the man who makes sure I arrive at my apartments safely each night.
With a shrug, he said, "Maybe." He then spoke more boldly, as though he were possessed, saying, "Yes, we are getting rid of it, and after that, we go our separate ways."
I started pleading, "Please, Maverick... please," as though I had just realised how precarious my situation was. We wanted our child to be a symbol of our love and never wanted to lose him.
"What do you know?Let's head out now.
"All right? To where?
"To the healer of packs: My pal won't disclose it to anyone.
I shook my head and murmured, "Maverick, I'm sorry." "I refuse to abort this child. I'd like to hold onto it. Please allow me to retain the child. We can simply be your secret family, and you may marry anybody you want," I added, attempting to accept any proposal that occurred to me.
I will gladly accept any offer from him as long as it allows me to be with him and keep this baby since I still wanted to be with him and keep this kid.
His fangs are raised, and his eyes immediately turn red. It was then that I realised I had not felt either of our wolves during our dispute.
Adeline, you are so self-centred. You are not the centre of the world, and it never will be, especially now that you are expecting. You are aware of the elders' support for my marriage to a Star Pack member and how beneficial it will be. With a Luna like her, our pack will be more formidable and stronger. Do you suppose I also want this? However, being a good pack member requires us all to make sacrifices for the benefit of the group. He yanked her along and shouted, "Come on, I'm taking you to the healer."
I attempted to escape his grasp, but he gripped my wrist instead. While he was pulling me to an unidentified area, I couldn't help but use my eyes to beg for mercy while looking for his eyes. When I realised it was now dark, I pondered how long they had been speaking.
"Maverick," I attempted to beg once more in my voice.
Adeline, Adeline, Adeline! When they got in front of the quarter, he called out.
A young man he didn't know ran out. The quarter's faint light caused his dark hair to shine.
"What brings you to the medical quarter this evening, Alpha?"
Despite her circumstances, Adeline told herself that this was the medical quarter. She is not familiar with this place. Her only visit to the medical and nursing quarters is to the pack infantry.
"I require... I need assistance." Maverick stumbled a little.
Since the start of our chat, I had not seen him show emotion until now. He said it, looking uncertain. I squeaked his hand absentmindedly with my free hand, hoping to ease his suffering.
"I require an abortion pill or herb.""Anyone you have," he murmured, regaining his confidence and voice.
With his gaze shifting from Maverick to me, Chad said, "For who—oh, for her." His eyes were full of questions, but he was unable to utter them.
Indeed, Alpha, I'll acquire it. Please give me a few minutes," he remarked and entered.
I yelled out, "Maverick," hoping to get my wrist free in time for another try." After I give birth, the baby can be offered for adoption. Tears were streaming from my eyes as I begged Maverick to let this baby live.
Even though I was worn out, I had to make one last effort to save my baby's life.
"I cannot allow my ancestry to be tarnished. How resilient do you think the child will be given its Omega mother? The infant's weakness will only embarrass me and put my authority in jeopardy. We've made our decision and are eliminating it.
