Taylor was still riding on a haze of disbelief when she went home. Immediately she stopped in front of the house and saw her empty driveway, she was reminded once again how much she hated cab rides and why she had to buy a car in the first place. As soon as she thought of her car, her mind went straight to Liam.It had been a long, exhausting day, and she hoped he actually had good news concerning the car. Her mother was waiting for her in the living room when she came in. Esther stood up the second she saw her and clapped her hands together. “Thank god you’re back home. I’ve been waiting for decades.” Taylor glanced at her wristwatch. It was 11:45pm. “Sorry, I had some late work and meetings to rush over. Shouldn’t you be watching videos in your room or something? Why are you still up?”
