“Jennie and I are going on a trip. You know Jennie?” He shook his head at his question. “Don’t answer that. I’m sure you wouldn’t know her. Jennie is my boss. She wants me to go on a trip with her.”
“I know Jennie,” Taylor replied. “I’m not stupid, Liam. It’s my job to know the people in your life and how it affects me.”
Liam was stunned for a few minutes. “I uh, I didn’t say you were stupid.”
