Taylor screamed and instinctively raised her hand to cover her face to avoid the crash that would inevitably meet them. Her hands were too slow to meet her face and her eyes were wide open to take in the scene before her. Everything happened in slow motion, like her life was flashing before her eyes. For a minute the road was quiet and free, and then out of nowhere a car drove madly towards them. Liam slammed on the brakes and she lurched forward, her eyes shifting from him to the road. There was an impact when the car crashed into them. A bone-jarring, thunderous crash that reverberated through the air, the metal crumpling and the glass shattering in a chaotic symphony.
