Captain Hook was engrossed with his phone when a knock came on the door. There were two more raps before the door opened and an officer revealed themselves. Hook had created a rule that no one was allowed to just barge into his office unless they had a severely important case, in which case they were to knock on the door three times before entering.
There was no important case that week, except for the bank robbery that happened the previous week. Hook had made sure to put that at the very top of his list, so when the rap came three times on his door, he knew it was about the robbery. He sat upright and waited for the officer assigned to gathering the information to walk in.
