Esther’s head snapped to Liam. “What have you done this time?!’
“Done?” Albert waved his hand in the air as he stepped closer to them. “I think there’s been a misunderstanding somewhere. I’m here because I need Mr. Laurent’s help. He promised he was going to help me.” He c****d his head at Liam. “Didn’t you?”
Liam opened his mouth and then closed it. Everything was too dramatic for him. He didn’t even know where to begin.
"You need his help?" Sofia croaked. "Didn't he just try to kill your father, and then you tried to hit him? After that, you asked us to take him away before you killed him."
Albert glanced at Liam, an anxious look crossing his face. “I never said I’ll kill him. I just said take him away so he’ll breathe well and not die there.”
“Die in a hospital?”
